Maya Hu-Chan

Maya Hu-Chan is President of Global Leadership Associates. She is an international management consultant, executive coach, author and sought-after speaker specializing in global leadership, executive coaching and cross-cultural business skills. Maya is also a “Tiger Mom,” raising teenage triplets while she travels the globe 50% of her time to serve clients all over the world.

Originally from Taiwan and a US resident since 1985, Maya has been training and coaching leaders and teams in global Fortune 500 companies throughout North America, Asia, Europe, South America and Australia for over 24 years. Maya holds a BA in Journalism and Business from National Chengchi University in Taiwan and a Master’s degree from the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, she is a certified provider for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the Extended DiSC, and the InsideOut G.R.O.W. coaching model.

Prior to her consulting career, Maya was an anchor for the China Broadcasting Company in Taiwan and served as the CEO of a non-profit organization in San Diego, California. She has lectured at the Brookings InstitutionUniversity of California, San Diego (UCSD); University of Southern California (USC)Pennsylvania State University; and the International MBA Program at the University of Chicago.

She has received the “Leading the Global Workforce Best Practice Award” from Linkage Inc. and was nominated for San Diego Magazine’s “Woman of the Year” award in 2010.
